The No. 1 seeded Kansas City Chiefs were rested heading into Wild Card weekend. That being said, the team still has a notable injury head in this weekend’s Divisional Round against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Star defensive end Frank Clark was limited during Tuesday’s practice with a groin injury.
Clark suffered the injury during the Chiefs’ final game of the regular season, causing him to miss the end of their Week 18 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. After that game, head coach Andy Reid said that he should be able to return to the field after “resting a bit”.
Through 15 games this season, the three-time Pro Bowler has logged 39 tackles, 5.0 sacks, 13 QB hits, one forced fumble and one safety.
The Chiefs would undoubtedly love to have Clarke back on the field for Saturday’s Divisional Round matchup against the Jags at Arrowhead Stadium.
Stay tuned for updates on Clarke’s practice status throughout the week.
