Dick Vitale recently had a checkup to make sure none of his cancer is coming back.
Vitale, who is one of the nation’s top college basketball analysts, was declared cancer-free last August after being diagnosed with lymphoma in October of 2021.
During the checkup, Vitale said his doctor found nothing cancerous and gave him permission to speak at an event in Boston.
“I had my quarterly exam by Dr. Zittels and I was a little scared because he saw a small growth on my vocal cords that had to be removed. He did it in his office after giving me anesthesia and the great news[was]it was is non-cancerous and even allowed me to speak at an event in Boston last night,” Vitale tweeted.
This is great news because it means Vitale is continuing to be healthy.
He will also continue to call games for ESPN as it has been great to be back courtside since the cancer has healed.
