Before last week’s Wild Card win over the Bucs, Cowboys kicker Brett Maher was as steady as he’d been. until he wasn’t…
But after signing another kicker this week, Dallas reportedly decided to be with their guy ahead of tomorrow’s game.
According to NFL Network Ian Rapoport: “Cowboys did not activate kicker Tristan Vizcaino from practice squad, meaning they’re rolling with Brett Maher vs. the 49ers.”
The football world reacted to the news of his exit from Dallas on Saturday.
“Guys, I don’t know about you… but something about this sounds very foreboding-esque!” Jeremy Padawar tweeted.
One fan said, “I’m too soon he misses his first PAT.”
“David Akers, former 49ers, approves of it,” replied Eric Branch. San Francisco Chronicle,
“We’re laughing,” commented one 49ers fan.
Another user said, “Yooo this has the potential to be hilarious.”
“Check on your Cowboys fan friends.”
Maher missed a historic four extra point attempts in the Cowboys’ wild card win. Hopefully the veteran kicker will be able to wipe the slate clean for this weekend’s game.
