Many in the NFL world expect the Los Angeles Chargers to fire head coach Brandon Staley after their loss to the Jaguars in the wild card round on Saturday.
However, don’t expect this to be reality.
According to one longtime NFL insider, the Chargers ownership group doesn’t work that way.
“Chasing up, I do not believe they will be firing Brandon Staley. Although I do believe there will be staff changes. …” Jim Trotter tweeted.
“I believe that Sean Payton was never seriously considered because the team never seriously considered firing Staley. And even if they had to make changes, there are too many factors that go into Payton’s mind.” Working against walking the sidelines.”
The Chargers lost in heartbreaking fashion on Saturday night, but it looks like Staley is expected to return.
