A San Francisco 49ers defensive player was arrested on Tuesday.

According to reports, police were called to Omenihu’s home just after 4:30 p.m. local time on Monday. A female friend of Omenihu told police that she was pinned to the ground during an argument.
He complained that he had pain in his hand but according to the police there was no scratch or anything on his body.
There were some quick reactions from the NFL community to this disturbing report.
“Horrible news at the worst possible time,” read another tweet.
Omenihu appeared in all 17 games for the 49ers this season and their playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks before suffering a concussion.
For the season, he totaled 20 tackles (seven solo), 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defended.
It remains to be seen whether he will be active for this Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
