Boomer Esiason and Matt Ryan had an unintentionally funny moment on CBS Sports’ pregame coverage on Sunday.
As the CBS panel was trading business back and forth, Ryan turned to colleague Nate Burleson and berated him. Then he turned in the other direction and shook Esiason’s hand Formally.
Because Burleson is younger and Black and Esiason is older and blonder, a lot of people on Twitter were making fun of Ryan’s difference in handshakes.
“Matt Ryan is doing great code switching skill,” joked Jay Rigdon of Awful Announcing.
Another commenter said, “The way I feel the social awkwardness of this handshake is unreal.”
“Versatility,” joked another.
Bleacher Report NFL writer Mo Moten said, “Dap up homie and then have a nice firm handshake with your future father-in-law.”
“Matty Ice is ATL. #fila #falcon #dirtybirds,” said John Buehler of FanSided.
Nice to see that the boys are having fun on the CBS set.
