A brief brawl broke out in the second half of yesterday’s Bills-Dolphins playoff game as Dolphins lineman Christian Wilkins clashed with Bills offensive lineman Mitch Morse. But when the fight resulted in both players being penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct, it also led to some pretty hilarious reactions.
probably the best response to the fight came Morse’s wife Caitlin, Taking to Twitter, Mrs. Morse jokingly wondered if her husband would ever rush to her defense the way he did for Bills quarterback Josh Allen during the game.
“I wonder if he will protect my honor the way he protects Josh?” Caitlin Morse tweeted, adding some laughing emojis at the end.
Since yesterday, Morse’s tweet has gone viral with over 13,000 likes and 750 retweets. Some of the reactions are downright brilliant.
One user replied, “Exactly he is… in the off season, you are his passion.”
“Tweet of the year!!! wrote another.
“I sure as hell don’t want to know!” wrote a third user.
The Bills won the game 34–31, so Mitch Morse will be able to “defend Josh Allen’s honor” this season if the opportunity presents itself next weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Was this the best tweet of Wild Card weekend?
