Michigan co-offensive coordinator Matt Weiss has been placed on leave due to a police investigation into “reports of computer access crimes” at Schembechler Hall in December.
Weis has been away from the team and isn’t helping with the recruiting trail this offseason, according to a college football insider. Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Weiss issued a statement to ESPN In response to this ongoing inquiry:
“I am aware of the ongoing investigation by the University of Michigan Police Department and am cooperating fully with the investigators. I await the resolution of this matter. With respect to the integrity of the investigation, I have no further comment.” Will be.”
The 39-year-old Weis just finished his second season as an assistant under head coach Jim Harbaugh. The Wolverines have earned College Football Playoff berths in each of their two seasons with the program.
