For the first time, the NBA All-Star Game draft will take place directly before the 2023 event as a live selection process.
The live pregame segment will air on TNT on Sunday, February 19, just before the All-Star Game.
While the timing of the draft will change, the selection process that was introduced a few years ago will remain the same. The two team captains will select their teams from a pool of players voted on as starters and reserves in their respective conferences.
Take a Look at the NBA Official announcement here:
The team captains would be the All-Star starter from each conference receiving the most fan votes. The captains and starters will be announced later this week (January 26) on TNT. All-Star reserves will be announced next week (Feb. 2).
LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo currently lead the fan polling in their respective conferences.
All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City begins on February 18 with the Slam Dunk Contest, 3-Point Contest and Skills Challenge.
