The Dallas Cowboys have said that head coach Mike McCarthy is safe no matter what happens after this season.
Of course, this is a reasonable approach. McCarthy has led the Cowboys to 12 consecutive winning seasons and a playoff win in 2023.
But on Sunday, the Cowboys once again lost to the 49ers. They are not just getting out-played, they are making too many mistakes.
The Cowboys committed several costly penalties that led to the 49ers’ go-ahead touchdown.
While Jerry Jones has said that McCarthy is safe, some NFL fans believe that he will eventually fire their head coach due to lack of discipline.
“Dallas and their specific penalties – this will fire McCarthy,” one fan predicted.
“Mike McCarthy is going to be fired. Lack of discipline plagues the Cowboys again. Same penalty and problem as last year in the same game. Shouldn’t be an improvement,” wrote one fan.
One fan said, “These players must not like McCarthy, because they are doing everything they can to get him fired.”
Another fan predicted on social media, “McCarthy should be fired.”

There is still a lot of play left on Sunday.
The Cowboys are trailing the 49ers, 16-9, in the fourth quarter on Sunday afternoon.
