There is a chip in football.
That’s right – the NFL has the technology to determine where the football is on the field, but still uses the referee’s vision to determine critical plays.
This revelation comes after Tyler Huntley’s disastrous goal line fumble.
Next Gen Stats tweeted, “How close was Tyler Huntley to crossing the plane with the football? According to Chip in Football, the closest the ball was to the end zone was 0.6 yards from the goal line.”
NFL fans are understandably upset.
One fan wrote, “There’s a chip in football and we’re still using dudes with sticks to measure first downs.”
“I’m sorry what’s with football? Why do we still use chains?” A fan has been added.
“Chip you say??? clearly I’m late to the party,” said one fan.
“If you can tell this exclusivity, why is it seen by old guys running and keeping the ball down, then pulling literal chains,” wondered another fan.
