Patrick Mahomes helped his team to victory despite suffering an ankle injury in the first half.
The former MVP experienced discomfort, completing 22 of 30 passes for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns en route to the 27–20 victory.
After the game, NBC’s Melissa Stark asked Mahomes about the injury he suffered in the following week’s AFC Championship: “It’s going to take a lot to keep me out of a football game,” the star QB replied. “I’d better go.”
