There is a possibility that the Green Bay Packers could move on from Aaron Rodgers this offseason.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, a trade is a very real scenario for both sides this season as this is the third straight season with these rumors.
“This will be the third straight off-season in which Aaron Rodgers’ future is the subject of much speculation, but make no mistake: both sides are fully aware that a trade for Aaron Rodgers this off-season is a very real scenario, “ Schefter said,
This prompted NBC’s Peter King to report that the Packers wanted at least two first-round picks in exchange for the star quarterback. He also said that the New York Jets would gladly pay that price.
The NFL community has expressed its views regarding this report.
Another tweet read, “To be honest this will be scary. They have a talented WR and good run game. Their defense was good too. They have the ammo to make it happen. Here’s hoping no.”
If Rodgers does go to the Jets, he will be following in the footsteps of Brett Favre. Favre did exactly that at the end of his career when he was traded to the Jets.
That would definitely shake up the NFC North heading into the 2023 season.
