Ratings for the NFL’s wild card playoff games were released on Wednesday.
The most watched game ended up being a Giants-Vikings contest. When it was on FOX it had an audience of 33.2 million.
Back then, the Dolphins–Bills game had 30.8 million viewers, while the Cowboys–Buccaneers game had 30.6 million viewers.
Which game had the lowest ratings was the Chargers-Jaguars game. That game only had 20.6 million viewers.
Here are the full ratings:
Shortly after the ratings came out, the NFL community did their take.
“A New York team and the Cowboys are highly rated sports? No surprise. Dolphins & Bills get big numbers in bad time slot? It’s a little surprising,” read one tweet.
Neil Best tweeted, “People often fall into the trap of thinking that prime time games are prime time for the NFL. Prime time for the NFL is Sunday afternoon.”
We’ll have to see how these rankings stack up to the divisional rounds later this week.
