On Wednesday, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit officially announced that Melissa Wood-Tepperberg will be part of their 2023 rookie class.
Wood-Tepperberg wears a lot of hats, to say the least. She is a certified health and wellness coach, an entrepreneur, a wife, and a mother.
For years, Wood-Tepperberg dreamed of being a model for SI Swimsuit. As you would expect, she is thrilled to be working with the iconic brand.
“Since I was a teenager, I remember turning the pages of SI and feeling such strength, beauty, and empowerment from the many women covering these iconic pages.” she wrote on instagram, “But never in my life did I think that at 40 and a mother of two I would be in SI now. For me it didn’t happen in my 20s or 30s and of course there was a part . I thought that ship had sailed. But the more I connect with my work and the scope of the endless possibilities ever so deeply… I never lost sight of truly being a sports illustrated model.”
Wood-Tepperberg has already developed quite a fan base. He currently has more than one million followers on Instagram.
Her followers love her tips when it comes to yoga and Pilates workouts.
In addition to her work as a Pilates instructor, Wood-Tepperberg offers some advice for anyone going through a tough time.
“Perfectionism is what keeps you there,” Wood-Tepperberg said, “There’s no room to grow because the idea of things not meeting your standards paralyzes you from moving forward. It’s an interesting feeling to observe as someone who used to think they were a “reborn perfectionist” were. The more self-aware I become, the more I see things in my life that could improve. But … that messy part of me, makes me – me. So the more I Wanting to grow, develop and expand into that best version of ourselves, it’s important to love all the parts of ourselves that make us who we are. Imperfectly perfect.”
Wood-Tepperberg should fit right in with the rest of the SI Swimsuit family.
