Bills head coach Sean McDermott patted his player’s back when asked about Stefon Diggs’ visible frustration on the sideline in Sunday’s loss.
Diggs appeared upset with Josh Allen missing him when he was wide open on a broken play late in the second half.
talking to members of the media in the postgame Press conferenceHere’s what McDermott had to say about the situation:
That’s what makes him good, that’s what you saw. He’s very competitive – like we all are – and we work extremely hard at these jobs to be the best we possibly can be. And it hurts and I don’t want a guy that doesn’t hurt. He put it all on the line, we put it all on the line and it just wasn’t good enough tonight.
The Bengals completely dominated the Bills all afternoon. Diggs finished with 35 yards on just four catches and 10 total targets.
That’s hard to swallow for a team and a city in Buffalo that has gone through a lot over the past year.
