While Brittany Griner is clearly thrilled to be back home in the United States, it’s understandable if things haven’t been easy for the WNBA star.
Eventually, Griner spent almost a full year in a Russian prison, separated from his loved ones. Getting used to life back in the United States can take some time.
However, earlier this month Griner had an encouraging announcement.
The longtime WNBA star made a public appearance at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade, during which she declared her pride in being back in America.
Sports fans are excited by Griner’s return to the United States.
One fan wrote, “First of all, glad he is home.”
“Great to see #BG42 in town…we said #FREEBG so much it became #BGFREE π«Άπ«Άπ«ΆππΏππΏππΏ,” added a fan
Another fan said of President Biden, “I’m glad he got Griner out of Russia. I don’t want any American to be under him.”
Welcome home, Britney.
